MobMuPlat for iOS arrives, and it's free

This appears to be a big step towards a mobile version of Pd. Getting the app is only part of the process, you also need to visit this site for the desktop making tools as well.

Anyway, here's the app's description:

MobMuPlat hosts and loads from a list of available user-created audio apps.

Creating your own work consists of two parts. First, creating a graphical user interface (GUI) with the MobMuPlat Editor; second, creating the audio engine using the graphical programming language Pure Data (PD). With both of these applications open, and data sent between the two, you can simulate the app behavior on your laptop/desktop. Once development is complete, just drag the two saved files into the "Documents" folder of iTunes, and they are uploaded to your device and can be opened in the MobMuPlat app.

MobMuPlat can do synthesis, sampling, networking via local wifi, OSC messaging, query and set hardware characteristics, display images/graphical scores, and much more.

looks like the editor needs at least osx 10.7 (no love for those of us still on 10.6.8).

The one rolled into the zip is for 10.7, but you can download PD-extended from the site, and that works on 10.6.8.

Very promising and reactive app. Depending on promotion, it can be the next standard music app for iOS. So make some noise about it !
This app need a real full forum, linked to the original website.
